Continuing our journey of the Solar System, we head to the next planet on the path: Jupiter.
However, before getting to it, we have to pass through an often neglected region: the Asteroid Belt.
This is the smallest and innermost known circumstellar disc in the Solar System, it contains a number of solid, irregularly shaped bodies and extends irregularly over the space between Mars and Jupiter, spinning as a whole around the Sun.
Jupiter is the fifth planet from our Sun and is, by far, the largest planet in the solar system – more than twice as massive as all the other planets combined.
