Astronomy Contributor Guidelines and Terms
Oct 15, 2026
1. The programme
The SpaceInfo Club Astronomy section showcases the work of amateur and professional astronomers and astrophotographers. Contributors are invited by SpaceInfo Club or apply at [email protected] with the subject “Astronomy Project Candidate”. Taking part is free and unpaid, and it is not employment.
Contributors can upload images and write articles, tips and a profile, but everything they submit is saved as a draft and nothing is published until SpaceInfo Club has reviewed and approved it. SpaceInfo Club may edit, ask for changes, delay or decline any submission without giving a reason. All public content is in English.
2. Content and image rights
The contributor keeps full copyright over every image, text and video they submit. By submitting, they grant SpaceInfo Club a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display the material on spaceinfo.club and to promote the Astronomy section on SpaceInfo Club’s own channels (website, newsletter, social media), always with the author’s name credited.
The licence can be revoked at any time by writing to [email protected]: SpaceInfo Club will remove the material from the site within a reasonable time. Copies already shared on third-party platforms may remain visible there, and SpaceInfo Club cannot recall them.
Contributors confirm that:
- they are the author of what they submit, or have the right to submit it;
- the material does not infringe the rights of others and is not misleading about how it was made (heavy processing, composites and AI-assisted editing must be declared in the caption);
- locations may be shown only with their consent, and exact coordinates of private places are never published.
3. No advertising on SpaceInfo Club
Contributors may have their own sponsorships, brand ambassadorships, affiliate programmes or similar arrangements outside SpaceInfo Club. These do not limit their participation, and SpaceInfo Club has no objection to them.
On spaceinfo.club, however, nothing a contributor submits may work as advertising. The rules are:
| Allowed | Not allowed |
|---|---|
| Naming the equipment they use (for example in the gear list or a caption) | Promoting products in order to sell them, or any call to action to buy (honest reviews and comparisons are allowed, with the disclosure described below) |
| Mentioning, in plain text, the brands that support them, for example “supported by Brand X” | Affiliate links, tracking links, referral or discount codes, “use code X” |
| Credits and technical details of the setup used for an image | Banners, logos used as advertising, sponsored posts, giveaways or promotions |
| Links to their own portfolio or social profile in their profile page | Links to shops, product pages or any page whose purpose is to sell, including shortened or redirected links |
Every submission includes a mandatory declaration of material connections: the contributor states whether they received free equipment, payment, sponsorship or any other benefit from a brand mentioned or shown in the content, or have none to declare, and confirms that the declaration is true and complete. SpaceInfo Club checks submissions for links and brand wording during review and may remove or rewrite anything that looks promotional without taking any responsibility over the Contributor’s content.
Disclosure and responsibility. When a connection is declared, the SpaceInfo Club system adds a standard disclosure notice to the published page automatically, and the contributor accepts that. The declaration is made under the contributor’s sole responsibility: SpaceInfo Club does not investigate or verify it and is not required to add notices for connections that were not declared. An incomplete, false or missing declaration is a breach of these terms, and the contributor is solely liable for any consequence of it, including claims or penalties linked to hidden advertising or misleading commercial practices, to the extent permitted by law. Contributors may publish honest reviews, rankings or comparisons of products they received from a brand, provided the connection is declared so that the automatic disclosure notice appears (for example as sponsored or gifted product), and without links, codes or calls to action to buy.
4. Breach, removal and responsibility
Any breach of section 3 may lead to immediate removal of the content and permanent exclusion of the contributor from spaceinfo.club, with no obligation for SpaceInfo Club to notify in advance or to compensate.
SpaceInfo Club works, or may work in the future, with brands and partners that may have exclusivity or advertising conditions. If a contributor’s advertising, link or promotional content on spaceinfo.club causes a claim, a penalty or a request for compensation from any such brand or partner, the contributor is responsible for the consequences of their own breach and agrees to hold SpaceInfo Club and its founder harmless, to the extent permitted by law.
Content is the contributor’s responsibility. Everything published in the Astronomy section under a contributor’s name, including texts, images, captions, opinions, technical advice and any claim about products or locations, is written and provided by that contributor, who is solely responsible for it. Review and publication by SpaceInfo Club is not a verification, endorsement or guarantee of accuracy, safety or legality. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpaceInfo Club, its founder, staff, collaborators and partners exclude any liability for contributor content and for any loss or damage arising from reliance on it or from the contributor’s breach of these terms. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
5. Privacy and leaving the programme
SpaceInfo Club keeps only the data needed to run the programme: name, contact email, bio, gear, locations the contributor agrees to show, and submitted content. The data is used for the Astronomy section and for communication about it, and is never sold. Contributors can access, correct or delete their data at any time by writing to [email protected]; the full information is in the site’s Privacy Policy.
A contributor can leave at any moment. On request, SpaceInfo Club removes the profile and published material, as described in section 2. Acceptance of these terms is recorded when the application form is submitted.
