From satellites to street art, Argotec’s ‘Unconventional Orbits’ brought together those who dare to think beyond gravity
SpaceInfo Club at Argotec’s visionary side event of Italian Tech Week 2025 in Turin, Italy.
We at SpaceInfo Club had the privilege of attending Unconventional Orbits, the extraordinary side event hosted by Argotec on the closing day of the Italian Tech Week. What we witnessed at the company’s futuristic SpacePark headquarters was more than a talk — it was an experience.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Argotec had redefined what an aerospace event could be. The SpacePark — an architectural marvel designed by Oscar Niemeyer — came alive under new lights, literally: beams, projections, and ambient visuals turned the production facility into a glowing symbol of Italy’s forward-looking space industry.
The organization was majestic, the atmosphere electric. Thousands of visitors — professionals, enthusiasts, and the simply curious — filled the venue, proving that space and technology can inspire well beyond the boundaries of engineering.
🚀 Innovation, courage, and cross-pollination
Unconventional Orbits gathered four exceptional guests, each representing a different way of challenging convention:
- Alessandro Franceschetti, Head of structural engineering at Luna Rossa Luna, described how aerospace physics powers his next challenge: the 2027 America’s Cup.
- Daisy Osakue, Olympic discus thrower, spoke about discipline, resilience, and the courage to pursue multiple identities — athlete, student, and citizen of the world.
- Greg Goya, acclaimed street artist, brought color and movement to the discussion, explaining his Fast Art as a mirror of modern society’s need for immediacy and participation.
- Jakidale, one of Italy’s most followed creators, showed how storytelling and technology merge on social media to make science accessible to millions.
Each story traced its own orbit, yet all converged on a shared message: true innovation thrives when disciplines collide and limits are questioned. They all were magisterially thread together by David Avino, CEO and founder of Argotec, who opened the evening sharing his personal journey — from paratrooper to engineer, from ESA and NASA collaborations to founding one of Europe’s most dynamic space companies.
🌌 SpacePark: a new hub of ideas and energy
For the first time since its inauguration, Argotec opened the SpacePark to the public, transforming it into a place of discovery and celebration.
The event — organized in collaboration with Club Silencio — offered guided tours, mission storytelling sessions, DJ and VJ sets, and a lively social atmosphere that lasted well into the night.
Inside the same facility where satellites are built and trajectories designed, guests danced, debated, and imagined the future of European aerospace.
It was a brilliant synthesis of science and culture — the perfect embodiment of the “unconventional orbit” philosophy.
💬“Where innovation challenges convention”
“We wanted to create a space where innovation doesn’t follow conventions, but challenges them,” said David Avino, CEO of Argotec.
“SpacePark is the beating heart of this vision — where technology, creativity, and passion meet to build the future.”
That future already feels closer.
